This Course equips learners with essential knowledge on diagnosing, treating, and preventing high blood pressure. It covers lifestyle changes, medications, and clinical guidelines through interactive modules. The flexible format allows self-paced learning, making it ideal for healthcare professionals.

Course Objectives:

  1. Specifically define and classify hypertension according to ACC/AHA and WHO guidelines, distinguishing between normal, elevated, and hypertensive states.
  2. Measure blood pressure accurately using proper clinical techniques and identify at least three common errors in BP measurement.
  3. Analyze the pathophysiological mechanisms of hypertension, including the role of the Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System (RAAS), vascular resistance, and endothelial dysfunction.
  4. Recognize at least five modifiable and three non-modifiable risk factors contributing to hypertension and their impact on cardiovascular health.
  5. Select the most appropriate lifestyle and pharmacological interventions for hypertension management.
