This course provides a comprehensive framework for collaborative healthcare. It moves from the core theory of shared decision-making to the practical skills of analyzing treatment data and risks. It then focuses on patient communication strategies to ensure medical evidence is understood and used, concluding with an exploration of the ethical, legal, and cultural factors that shape final health choices.

  1. Implement SDM Models: Apply core principles to involve patients as active partners in their own care (Unit 1).
  2. Evaluate Clinical Data: Objectively analyze treatment options by weighing potential benefits against risks and outcomes (Unit 2).
  3. Bridge Information Gaps: Communicate complex evidence clearly to improve patient engagement and health literacy (Unit 3).
